PEACEFUL DEER TAG

Today I would like to share a tag I made using the Peace Deer Bundle  156331 on page 26 of the July-December Mini Catalog.  It includes a stamp set and a punch. The coordinating  DSP can be found on page 8 of the Sale-a-bration catalog.  If you purchase $50.00 of products it's FREE.

This tag would be perfect for a masculine gift all year long and it was easy to make.

Crumb Cake card stock base desired size
DSP cut using stitched rectangle dies
punch stamped deer and antlers from stamp set with Memento ink
Cinnamon Cider Blends and Ink
Stamp sentiment and snowflakes with Cinnamon Cider ink on Crumb Cake strip
Evening Evergreen Ribbon

Put it all together and you've got a simply gorgeous gift tag. This would be easy to make in bulk.
I did the math and if you just purchase the products to make this tag you would have enough to met the $50.00 minimum to get the FREE DSP.
I'M just saying.

SUO Challenge #163-Holiday Elegance

The new challenge at SUO is to make an elegant Holiday project.  For my entry in this challenge I used the Stamp set Flurry of Wishes.  It can be found in the Annual catalog on page 29.
Here is my Christmas card.

I used Whisper White for my card base, then I layered Dapper Denim and a sheet of acetate.  Using silver embossing powder and Versamark ink I stamped and embossed the snowflakes on the acetate.  I then used rhinestones in the center of each snowflake for some bling.

The sentiment, also from Flurry of Wishes stamp set was embossed on Dapper Denim.  Using the stitched square framelit I cut it out with my Big Shot and layered it on a square of silver glimmer paper.  More bling !

I adhered all my layers together. I used glue dots behind each snowflake so it would not show through the acetate and used dimensionals on the square and the Dapper Denim layer.  The silver glitter ribbon is from the Holiday catalog.

Join me for the challenge at SUO Challenges to show off your creativity.

Happy Christmas Crafting,

SUO CHALLENGE #159 HOLIDAY PAPERS

Ready for another challenge over at SUO using holiday papers from the 2016 Holiday Catalog?  I decided to use the Halloween Night Designers Series Paper for my project.
Here is a medallion rosette I made.

I made the rosette using the Stamping Up Score board.  I cut 2 strips of paper 2" wide and scored them at 1/2" intervals.  I adhered them end to end and fan folded them.  After I had the rosette formed I adhered it to a 2" circle and closed the end.
My embellishments are silver glimmer paper 2" circle, the vampire using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and punch, a black tassel and silver glitter ribbon.  The banner is from the
Sweet Home stamp set and thinlits.

Hope you join me for this holiday paper challenge at SUO Challenges

RATTLE THEM BONES

October is here and I love Halloween.

The 2016 Holiday Catalog has so many cute Halloween items.  Today I made a card using the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set and punch that's featured on page 53.  I used the skeleton image and heat embossed him using white embossing powder.  He really pops layered on the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper.

The sentiment on my gray banner is from the Mr. Funny Bones stamp set and seems very appropriate.  I also used the bone stamp for my background paper on the top half of the card and the striped paper is DSP Halloween Night.  I alos used the black and orange Halloween Night twine.

Hope this card inspires you to get crafty for Halloween.  You can order everything to make this card HERE.

SCARECROW TREAT BAG

FALL/AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED, FINALLY

Only wish the temperatures would reflect the change of season.  I don't know where you are in this world but in the south US we are still having 90+ temperatures.  Still my favorite season is fall.  I love the change of  the leaves and the cool crisp days after a long hot summer.  By October maybe I will have fall weather here.

Today I wanted to share a treat bag I made using the gift bag punch board.  I used the DSP featured on page 51 of the 2016 Holiday catalog, The  pumpkin background seemed the logical choice for a scarecrow.  I can picture him in the middle of a pumpkin patch scaring away the crows.

The scarecrow is one of the images in the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Dapper Denim makers to color him.  You can purchase the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive makers as a two pack along with the corrdinating Baker's twine and washi tape.  The Kraft rope trim is found on page 13.

You can shop for the items to make this treat bag HERE in my on-line Stampin' Up store.  If you would like a copy of the catalog leave a comment below and send me your name and mailing
address to my e-mail ogdendoll@gmail.com.

MASON JARS, OH SO CUTE!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS

I know everyone has been seeing Mason jar projects all over blogger.  Well here is my project using the Stampin' Up Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars framelit bundle.

I heat embossed the fish using our new copper embossing powder.  The jar was stamped using Pool Party ink.  I also used Pool Party card stock as my base layer.  The polka dot Bermuda Bay is a project life card.  The ribbon is Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon.  I know these two items are retired, but you can still use them.  I wanted to share ways to combine old and new products.

To add value to the Everyday Jars framelits the new Holiday catalog, which goes live September 1, 2016, has two new stamp sets that will coordinate with them.  One is a Halloween themed set and the other is Christmas.

I would like to send a complimentary Holiday catalog to any one that subscribes or is a subscriber.  Just send me an e-mail at ogdendoll@gmail.com with your name and mailing address and I'll get one out to you.

Check back in next week I will be sharing projects made using some of the new products from the Holiday catalog.

It's finally live.  You can now order from the New Annual Catalog.  I made a few projects I wanted to share.  First, bookmarks using the "Over the Rainbow" stamp set on page 54.  The hearts are stamped using the New In-Colors for 2016-2018.  Have you seen the new In-Colors yet?

The In Colors 2016-2018 are

Flirty Flamingo
Dapper Denim
Sweet Sugarplum
Emerald Envy
Peakaboo Peach

My favorite is Dapper Denim.  I like it so much I made two cards using the paper and the ink.

I also used the stamp set and punch bundle "Thoughtful Banners" featured on page 73 of the
2016-2017 Annual Catalog.

This card is made using the Designers Series Paper (DSP) "Affectionately Yours".  I love this copper paper, it's very trendy.  We now have copper embossing powder, too.

Stampin' Up EASTER Gift Bag

Here;s an Easter project using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Honeycomb Happiness.  I used the gift bag punch board to make this cute little bag that's just the right size for a few chocolate Easter egg candies.  The paper is Designers Series paper stack "It's My Party".
I added half of a dolie and white Baker's Twine.  The handles are made using Hello Honey trim from last years Occasions catalog.  For my sentiment I used the stamp Easter Lamb and masked off the lamb and just stamped the Happy Easter.

Time is running out Sale-A-Bration ends March, 31,2016. Place you order now and don't miss out on FREE stuff.

Also a reminder that in June the new catalog will be coming out and the 2014-2016 In Colors will be retiring.   These are the following colors
Blackberry Bliss

Mossy Meadow
Tangelo Twist

I really hate to see these colors retire but I am eagerly awaiting the introduction of the new colors for 2016-2018.

The first card was made using the Number of Years stamp set and framelit dies 140811 for the bundle.  I embossed the 2 in Blushing Bride.  The tiny hearts and scalloped circle were punched using Blushing Bride Glimmer paper140550.

Happy Birthday #1 Stampin' Up Challenge

It's time to continue my personal challenge to use the items I purchased from the 2016 Occasions catalog and the items I have received FREE from the Sale-A-Brations catalog.

The suite I will be using is the "IT'S MY PARTY" you can find it on pages 4 & 5.
My first project is a treat box.

I used the Baker's Box die 138279 and the It's My Party Designers Series 140552 paper in Mint Macaron.  I also used Mint Macaron ink 138326.
The cake image and sentiment are from the Party Wishes stamp set 140961.  The lace ribbon is Mint Macaron and the twine is a combo pack 140555 featured on page 6.

Bonus Tag
For the tag I used the Happy Birthday from Sky Is the Limit and the splashes of color using Timeless Textures 140517.  The two ink colors are Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.  Use the note tag punch 135860 to make quick tags for presents and treat boxes.

Everyone one has a Birthday so it's always a good idea to have a few Birthday cards on hand.  Having said that I will be making Birthday cards next.  Come back soon and I will share some ideas with you.  Thanks for looking at my blog and if you like something or have a question feel free to comment below.

Love Blossoms #3 Stampin' Up Challenge

Today I want to share another card using the Love Blossoms suite.

This card looks complicated but it's not. All the intricate work is done using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die 140621 and the Bloomin' Love Stamp set 140643.

Want to get 15% discount Bundle the Thinlits and the Stamp set 140818.

I made this card using Whisper White cardstock cut 10 x 5 and scored in half to make a 5 x 5 square card. For the layer I cut Blushing Bride cardstock 1/8" smaller.  All of the stamped images I used are in the Bloomin' Love stamp set.  I used the flowers to make the background and for the sentiment and used Watermelon Wonder ink.

The bow paperclip and ribbon I used is in the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit 140551.  The white pearls 119247 embellishment can be found in the 2015 Annual Catalog

The heart and flowers for my focal point are all cut using the Thinlits die.  This intricate die has lots of small pieces and our new Big Shot Die Brush 140603 easily removes these cut pieces. Stampin' Up has a great video demonstrating the use of thinlits die and Die Brush.  I am adding it below.

Hope this video from Stampin Up  is helpful.  If you don't have a die cutting machine you can purchase the Big Shot and accessories HERE.

With the purchase of a Big Shot you might want to consider becoming a demonstrator.  There are so many perks as a demonstrator and I would like to share them with you.  If your only interested in receiving products at a discount you can join as a hobbyist. Want to make money doing what you love, Crafting, then you can join and start a business.  It's up to you. Contact me using my email ogdendoll@gmail, com if you would like more information.

Come back soon and I will share what I received as my FREE stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.
I will be making another Valentine's Day project.

Love Blossoms # 2 Stampin Up Challenge Series

Ready for another project?
Everyone likes to give candy hearts for Valentine's Day so I decided to make a treat box to fill.

I used the Love Blossoms suite again and some of the 2015-2017 Designers Series 138432 paper in Watermelon Wonder.  I really like the script paper.
It was really simple to make here it is

I used the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit 140551 for the foil heart and the wood veneer heart.  I punched a small heart from the Blushing Bride glimmer paper 140550 using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch set 133787.  The sentiment and banner were stamped using the the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set 140643 and Watermelon Wonder ink 138323.

The dimensions on the box are DSP cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Score in portrait or vertical position @ 1" on both sides. Turn to landscape or horizontal position and score @ 1" and 3 3/4" on both sides.
Using a bone folder crease on all fold lines.  Trim at an angel the tabs on each side. To put the box together put adhesvie on each tab and then attach the sides to from the box.
I got this box from Chick n Scratch she also has a video which is easy to follow.

Check back soon for a new project and if you missed my first post just scroll down for my Stampon' Up Challenge.
