 Tombstone Treats

More Halloween Crafting coming your way.

This time I'm using the tombstone treat boxes from the Cutest Halloween Suite 156279 on page 50 in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  Of course I had to use the black and white gingham ribbon.  The cute ghost, pumpkin and cat are punched from the DSP using the punch. The three smaller ghost are die cut from vellum using the Festive and Bright die set.  I used the black sequin stars on them to cover up the mini adhesive dimensionals.  The Trick or Treat is from the stamp set.

Wouldn't these make great favors at a Halloween party? I filled mine with Nerd candies.

You can order at kimogden.stampinup.net shop now.

SPOOKY

Early Halloween card using the Festive and Bright  158536 Stamp and Die Set.  This Bundle is featured in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog on page 64.  The unique die set can be used to cut the right or left side or the entire garland like I have used here on my card of witch's hats and brooms.

I used my favorite item out of the entire catalog the black and white gingham ribbon I've already had to order another roll. I doubled it with some Fresh Freesia.  The card base is black and is stamped with Spooky along the right side in VersaMark, but I'm not sure it shows up on camera.  Spooky is then heat embossed in white on a gray background.  The shape was cut using one of the dies in the set and then  popped up on the card .  The garland is colored with blends on crumb cake cardstock.  The stamp is rather long so I used my Stamperatus to stamp it to make sure I got a good image and besides I didn't have a long enough block.

Hope this little Halloween tease gets you in the mood for more Halloween crafting.  Lots of SPOOKY products in the catalog to choose from take a look at kimogden.stampinup.net and if you find something that you just gotta have remember it's Sale-a-bration and $50.00 will get you a FREE item.

SUO CHALLENGE #159 HOLIDAY PAPERS

Ready for another challenge over at SUO using holiday papers from the 2016 Holiday Catalog?  I decided to use the Halloween Night Designers Series Paper for my project.
Here is a medallion rosette I made.

I made the rosette using the Stamping Up Score board.  I cut 2 strips of paper 2" wide and scored them at 1/2" intervals.  I adhered them end to end and fan folded them.  After I had the rosette formed I adhered it to a 2" circle and closed the end.
My embellishments are silver glimmer paper 2" circle, the vampire using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and punch, a black tassel and silver glitter ribbon.  The banner is from the
Sweet Home stamp set and thinlits.

Hope you join me for this holiday paper challenge at SUO Challenges

RATTLE THEM BONES

October is here and I love Halloween.

The 2016 Holiday Catalog has so many cute Halloween items.  Today I made a card using the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set and punch that's featured on page 53.  I used the skeleton image and heat embossed him using white embossing powder.  He really pops layered on the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper.

The sentiment on my gray banner is from the Mr. Funny Bones stamp set and seems very appropriate.  I also used the bone stamp for my background paper on the top half of the card and the striped paper is DSP Halloween Night.  I alos used the black and orange Halloween Night twine.

Hope this card inspires you to get crafty for Halloween.  You can order everything to make this card HERE.

SCARECROW TREAT BAG

FALL/AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED, FINALLY

Only wish the temperatures would reflect the change of season.  I don't know where you are in this world but in the south US we are still having 90+ temperatures.  Still my favorite season is fall.  I love the change of  the leaves and the cool crisp days after a long hot summer.  By October maybe I will have fall weather here.

Today I wanted to share a treat bag I made using the gift bag punch board.  I used the DSP featured on page 51 of the 2016 Holiday catalog, The  pumpkin background seemed the logical choice for a scarecrow.  I can picture him in the middle of a pumpkin patch scaring away the crows.

The scarecrow is one of the images in the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Dapper Denim makers to color him.  You can purchase the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive makers as a two pack along with the corrdinating Baker's twine and washi tape.  The Kraft rope trim is found on page 13.

You can shop for the items to make this treat bag HERE in my on-line Stampin' Up store.  If you would like a copy of the catalog leave a comment below and send me your name and mailing
address to my e-mail ogdendoll@gmail.com.

Halloween Jeepers Creepers

Gecko Galzs Jeepers Creepers Challenge

I am entering the following Halloween card into the Gecko Galzs challenge for this month.  They are having their annual Halloween Blog Hop October 30 - November 1, 2014.

I used the "Witches" collage sheet for my image.

I layered the image on black cardstock and added a border cut from a Spellbinders die in orange.  I embossed orange cardstock with a spellbinders embossing folder and highlighted some of the diamonds with Stickles, Black Diamond.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time.  The trick and treat are from the "Halloween Circle and Squares" collage sheet from Gecko Galz.  I used glossy accents and popped them up for dimension.

Join me tomarrow at Gecko Galz for lots of Halloween fun and inspiration.

Witch's Hat

OK here is another Halloween project for you.  I have always wanted to make a Witch's hat. I have seen them on You tube and other blogs and thought they were so fun for a home decor Halloween project.  Here's mine.

It was alot easier than I thought. I used MME "Wicked Merchant Malvado"and it already had a template so I cut it out and put it together.  The fun part was decorating it.  I used a large Prima flower and some of the embellishments from the paper.  Of course black tulle and trim added just the right touch.

Hope you like it. I think I will make a few more and group them together.
Stay tuned for more Halloween projects.

FCCB Challenge # 230

Tired of the old traditional square or rectangle card. Here's some inspiration to make a Shaped Card which happens to be our challenge this week at FCCB.  I used Elegant Edges cartridge for my basic shape.  Then I cut out my embellishment piece using Celebrate with a Flourish. I like this cartridge because it only has four cuts for each image and they are easy to assemble.

I also finished the inside of the card using stamps from My Creative Time.

Here's a list of supplies used.

Black cardstock- base of card
Orange and black polka dot paper-scrap
Images cut using paper scraps- Yay!
Stickers from Halloween stash
Yellow bling
Stickles Lemon and Black Diamond
MCT-All Around Halloween

Hope you like my card. It was fun to make cause I love Halloween.  You will be seeing a lot of Halloween projects on my blog.  I pulled out my Halloween box of goodies. I'm making (Halloween) things, like treat boxes and decorations so I will be sharing them.

Make your shaped card and link to our challenge, looking forward to see what you create.

Challenge # 183 at FCCB

This weeks challenge is to make a home decor project. I made this Halloween banner using two Cricut cartridges, Happy Haunting and Celebrate with a Flourish. I had diffuculty photographing the entire banner into one picture so I took several pictures showing the detail of it in sections.

I used the Vampire font from Happy Haunting for my letters to spell SPOOKY. The first flag has a witch flying across the moon from Celebrate with a Flourish. I used eyelash trim in red and black and black sheer ribbon. I cut several frames from Happy Haunting and used aged gold embossing powder to make them look like aged metal.  I used several stickers and brads from my Halloween stash and the paper line I used was from DCWV Ghosts and Goblins.
That's it. Hope you enjoyed
and get inspired to make your own project

Challenge #182 Black and Purple

Ready for Halloween?  I love creating projects for Halloween. My favorite Cricut cartridge is Happy Haunting.  I have made these coffin treat boxes for the last two Halloween's.  They are always a hit.  I made this one out of black and purple cardstock.

Before gluing the lid of the box together I embossed it with my Cuttlebug folder Skulls and Scrolls. For the sentiment I used a stamp from MCT Treats for my Sweet. This is a stamp set from last year and it has a lot of great Halloween sentiments and images. The ribbon is black sheer from Offray and the button is from Liz's Paper Loft. Love how it sparkles. The flower is from my stash.  I tied the little bow and tag with black hemp.
It was very simple to construct.  After cutting the base and the lid @ 8" I used my bone folder to score on the lines. I used Score tape to put it all together. The glue I have did not dry fast enough and the box kept coming apart. The Score tape seemed to work best.

Hope you will join us this week at FCCB. Show us your black and purple creations.

Halloween Card #1

It's raining here today. Remanents of Karen in the Gulf. Great time to craft for Halloween. I made this card using an image from Gecko Galz. I wanted to share it with everyone.

Here is the inside.

The paper I used is from My Mind's Eye "Haunted".  I used a Martha Stewart punch on the orange chevron paper for the drippy effect. I used orange stickles on the image to highlight her dress and the pumpkin. The ribbon is black sheer from Offray and I used a rhinestone button from Liz's papaer loft tied with black hemp. The Witche's Brew label is from the paper collection. I crumpled it up to distress it. All the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Black Soot. For accent I used black adhesive pearls in two groups of three.

Hope you like it. I will be posting more during this week. Check back to see what I've been creating for Halloween.

Another Challenge Simon Says Stamp

This is short post just wanted to share a Halloween card for the challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog. They want your project to have embossing dry or heat. I embossed my card using the Cuttlebug and folder Skulls and Scrolls.

I made this card clean and simple (CAS). It was quick and easy. Used black and orange card stock. Embossed and inked the orange. I used MCT "Treats for my Sweet" stamp set for my sentiment stamped in Black Soot / Tim Holtz.  Black sheer ribbon and a bling button from Liz's Paper Loft tied with orange and white twine from theTwinery. The skull is an embellishment from Jolee's Boutique.

This card would be very easy to mass produce if you have alot of card to send out. Hope you enjoyed. See you back here tomarrow.

Challenge #177 Vinyl EDU Cricut Crawl

Welcome to Kim's Kreations and the FCCB Vinyl EDU Cricut Crawl - Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop!!
This week we are challenging you to create a project using vinyl you have cut using your Cricut. We have a fabulous sponsor, Cricket Vinyl Supplies. If we get 100 participants in this challenge, Cricket Vinyl Supplies will give away a Cricut Expression package that includes a Cricut Expression machine, deep cut blade, Jasmine Cricut cartridge, ten 12” x 12” assorted sheets of matte vinyl and one 12” x 12” gridded transfer tape. How exciting is that??

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog!  There will be Blog Candy along the way at ALL our DT members' blogs, and there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant who submits a project using vinyl at FCCB!
For my project I made a home decor project. I used a picture frame that holds 9 photos.  My theme is Halloween, one of my favorite crafting holidays. Here is the entire project

I placed patterned paper inside each frame and then cut related vinyl to go on the outside glass.  This gave a lot of dimension. I will add a detailed photo of each frame below.  As you will see some of the cuts were very detailed but thye cut cleanly.  One important hint make sure you use the transfer sheet, it makes the layering and positioning a lot easier. I have to admit I tried skipping this step and it didn't work as well.
Here are the other frames.
I used Happy Hauntings cartridge as well as Halloween stacks from DCVW.

I really like the way this turned out. The vinyl made it unique and I like the shiny quality against the matte of the papers.

Now onto BLOG CANDY.  I am giving away the following items.

Included is 6x6 paper pad by Amy Tangerine "Yes, Please". A date stamp by Amy Tangerine that also has sayings that coordiante with the paper. I threw in a package of bling and 3 spools of ribbon by American Crafts. I bet your wondering what you need to do to win this Blog candy. It's quite simple
