SUO Challenge #163-Holiday Elegance

The new challenge at SUO is to make an elegant Holiday project.  For my entry in this challenge I used the Stamp set Flurry of Wishes.  It can be found in the Annual catalog on page 29.
Here is my Christmas card.

I used Whisper White for my card base, then I layered Dapper Denim and a sheet of acetate.  Using silver embossing powder and Versamark ink I stamped and embossed the snowflakes on the acetate.  I then used rhinestones in the center of each snowflake for some bling.

The sentiment, also from Flurry of Wishes stamp set was embossed on Dapper Denim.  Using the stitched square framelit I cut it out with my Big Shot and layered it on a square of silver glimmer paper.  More bling !

I adhered all my layers together. I used glue dots behind each snowflake so it would not show through the acetate and used dimensionals on the square and the Dapper Denim layer.  The silver glitter ribbon is from the Holiday catalog.

Join me for the challenge at SUO Challenges to show off your creativity.

Happy Christmas Crafting,

SUO CHALLENGE #159 HOLIDAY PAPERS

Ready for another challenge over at SUO using holiday papers from the 2016 Holiday Catalog?  I decided to use the Halloween Night Designers Series Paper for my project.
Here is a medallion rosette I made.

I made the rosette using the Stamping Up Score board.  I cut 2 strips of paper 2" wide and scored them at 1/2" intervals.  I adhered them end to end and fan folded them.  After I had the rosette formed I adhered it to a 2" circle and closed the end.
My embellishments are silver glimmer paper 2" circle, the vampire using the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and punch, a black tassel and silver glitter ribbon.  The banner is from the
Sweet Home stamp set and thinlits.

Hope you join me for this holiday paper challenge at SUO Challenges

RATTLE THEM BONES

October is here and I love Halloween.

The 2016 Holiday Catalog has so many cute Halloween items.  Today I made a card using the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set and punch that's featured on page 53.  I used the skeleton image and heat embossed him using white embossing powder.  He really pops layered on the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper.

The sentiment on my gray banner is from the Mr. Funny Bones stamp set and seems very appropriate.  I also used the bone stamp for my background paper on the top half of the card and the striped paper is DSP Halloween Night.  I alos used the black and orange Halloween Night twine.

Hope this card inspires you to get crafty for Halloween.  You can order everything to make this card HERE.

SCARECROW TREAT BAG

FALL/AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED, FINALLY

Only wish the temperatures would reflect the change of season.  I don't know where you are in this world but in the south US we are still having 90+ temperatures.  Still my favorite season is fall.  I love the change of  the leaves and the cool crisp days after a long hot summer.  By October maybe I will have fall weather here.

Today I wanted to share a treat bag I made using the gift bag punch board.  I used the DSP featured on page 51 of the 2016 Holiday catalog, The  pumpkin background seemed the logical choice for a scarecrow.  I can picture him in the middle of a pumpkin patch scaring away the crows.

The scarecrow is one of the images in the Halloween Cookie Cutter stamp set.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Dapper Denim makers to color him.  You can purchase the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive makers as a two pack along with the corrdinating Baker's twine and washi tape.  The Kraft rope trim is found on page 13.

You can shop for the items to make this treat bag HERE in my on-line Stampin' Up store.  If you would like a copy of the catalog leave a comment below and send me your name and mailing
address to my e-mail ogdendoll@gmail.com.

MASON JARS, OH SO CUTE!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS

I know everyone has been seeing Mason jar projects all over blogger.  Well here is my project using the Stampin' Up Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars framelit bundle.

I heat embossed the fish using our new copper embossing powder.  The jar was stamped using Pool Party ink.  I also used Pool Party card stock as my base layer.  The polka dot Bermuda Bay is a project life card.  The ribbon is Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon.  I know these two items are retired, but you can still use them.  I wanted to share ways to combine old and new products.

To add value to the Everyday Jars framelits the new Holiday catalog, which goes live September 1, 2016, has two new stamp sets that will coordinate with them.  One is a Halloween themed set and the other is Christmas.

I would like to send a complimentary Holiday catalog to any one that subscribes or is a subscriber.  Just send me an e-mail at ogdendoll@gmail.com with your name and mailing address and I'll get one out to you.

Check back in next week I will be sharing projects made using some of the new products from the Holiday catalog.

SUO CHALLENGE #152

HELLO Everyone!

It's time for another challenge using Stampin' Up Only products.  This time the theme is to use things in Nature.  I decided to use the stamp set Hello Kitty.  I love cats and these images are so adorable.

I used the Designer Series Paper Affectionately Yours.  The paper is double-sided so the layers are using both sides of one sheet.  I stamped the image and used my aqua painter to watercolor.  I layered the happy little kitty onto a 2015-2017 Mint Macaron dollie.  I then adhereded it to the card with dimensionals.  The banner is from the Number Of Years stamp set and the sentiment is from Hello Kitty.  The yellow enamel shapes are the perfect embellishment.  This card was fast and easy.

Join me for this challenge at SUO Challenges.

Happy 4th of July- US Independence Day

Happy 4th of July to all my blogger friends.

Hope your having fun celebrate our country's independence. Don't forget it's not just about grilling and fireworks.  Remember God has blessed the USA and made it great we should not take our liberty and freedoms lightly.

Today I want to share a shaker card I made using the Number of Years stamp set.

I also used red foil sheet, silver glimmer paper and the new In-Colors DSP in Dapper Denim.
The "happy" and the '4' were cut out using the Number of Years framelits and the Hello You thinlits.
I also used the layering circles dies.
Inside the shaker card I used the metallic sequins.
The new foam strips made assembling this shaker easy peasy.
You can find all these items in the 2016-2017 Annual catalog.

Hope you have a safe and fun holiday.

SUO CHALLENGE #151

Today I am using the new Designers Series Paper "By the Shore" and the stamp set "Seaside Shore" featured on pages 92 and 93 of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.

I know I have already said that Dapper Denim is my favorite In-Color so I know you won't be surprised that I used it for the gift bag I made.

I also used Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron which coordinates with this DSP.  The gift bag was made using the Gift Bag Punch Board medium size.  The Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon and Enamel
Shapes are perfect embellishments.

I am entering my gift bag on the Stampin' Up Only Challenge Blog.  The theme for the challenge is to use Designer Series Paper found in the 2016-2017 Annual catalog.

Here;s an Easter project using the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Honeycomb Happiness.  I used the gift bag punch board to make this cute little bag that's just the right size for a few chocolate Easter egg candies.  The paper is Designers Series paper stack "It's My Party".
I added half of a dolie and white Baker's Twine.  The handles are made using Hello Honey trim from last years Occasions catalog.  For my sentiment I used the stamp Easter Lamb and masked off the lamb and just stamped the Happy Easter.

Happy Birthday #1 Stampin' Up Challenge

It's time to continue my personal challenge to use the items I purchased from the 2016 Occasions catalog and the items I have received FREE from the Sale-A-Brations catalog.

The suite I will be using is the "IT'S MY PARTY" you can find it on pages 4 & 5.
My first project is a treat box.

I used the Baker's Box die 138279 and the It's My Party Designers Series 140552 paper in Mint Macaron.  I also used Mint Macaron ink 138326.
The cake image and sentiment are from the Party Wishes stamp set 140961.  The lace ribbon is Mint Macaron and the twine is a combo pack 140555 featured on page 6.

Bonus Tag
For the tag I used the Happy Birthday from Sky Is the Limit and the splashes of color using Timeless Textures 140517.  The two ink colors are Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.  Use the note tag punch 135860 to make quick tags for presents and treat boxes.

Stampin Up Challenge #4 Love Blossoms

My post for today is my final card for Valentine's Day using the Love Blossoms suite in the Occasions catalog on pages 16 &17.  I made a shaker card and filled it with the sequins from the Love Blossoms embellishment kit and Blushing Bride Glimmer paper hearts,

The fourteen was die cut using the Large Numbers framelits dies 140622,  These framelits also come with a coordinating stamp set Number of Years 140633.  If you bundle the two you can save 15% 140811.  These items are featured on pages 10 & 11.

Love Blossoms #3 Stampin' Up Challenge

Today I want to share another card using the Love Blossoms suite.

This card looks complicated but it's not. All the intricate work is done using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die 140621 and the Bloomin' Love Stamp set 140643.

Want to get 15% discount Bundle the Thinlits and the Stamp set 140818.

I made this card using Whisper White cardstock cut 10 x 5 and scored in half to make a 5 x 5 square card. For the layer I cut Blushing Bride cardstock 1/8" smaller.  All of the stamped images I used are in the Bloomin' Love stamp set.  I used the flowers to make the background and for the sentiment and used Watermelon Wonder ink.

The bow paperclip and ribbon I used is in the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit 140551.  The white pearls 119247 embellishment can be found in the 2015 Annual Catalog

The heart and flowers for my focal point are all cut using the Thinlits die.  This intricate die has lots of small pieces and our new Big Shot Die Brush 140603 easily removes these cut pieces. Stampin' Up has a great video demonstrating the use of thinlits die and Die Brush.  I am adding it below.

Hope this video from Stampin Up  is helpful.  If you don't have a die cutting machine you can purchase the Big Shot and accessories HERE.

With the purchase of a Big Shot you might want to consider becoming a demonstrator.  There are so many perks as a demonstrator and I would like to share them with you.  If your only interested in receiving products at a discount you can join as a hobbyist. Want to make money doing what you love, Crafting, then you can join and start a business.  It's up to you. Contact me using my email ogdendoll@gmail, com if you would like more information.

Love Blossoms # 2 Stampin Up Challenge Series

Ready for another project?
Everyone likes to give candy hearts for Valentine's Day so I decided to make a treat box to fill.

I used the Love Blossoms suite again and some of the 2015-2017 Designers Series 138432 paper in Watermelon Wonder.  I really like the script paper.
It was really simple to make here it is

I used the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit 140551 for the foil heart and the wood veneer heart.  I punched a small heart from the Blushing Bride glimmer paper 140550 using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch set 133787.  The sentiment and banner were stamped using the the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set 140643 and Watermelon Wonder ink 138323.

The dimensions on the box are DSP cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Score in portrait or vertical position @ 1" on both sides. Turn to landscape or horizontal position and score @ 1" and 3 3/4" on both sides.
Using a bone folder crease on all fold lines.  Trim at an angel the tabs on each side. To put the box together put adhesvie on each tab and then attach the sides to from the box.
I got this box from Chick n Scratch she also has a video which is easy to follow.

Check back soon for a new project and if you missed my first post just scroll down for my Stampon' Up Challenge.

My Stampin Up Challenge

Hello! Everyone
I know its been a while since my last post,  I'm back now and will be posting more frequently,
One reason, it's time for the new 2016 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration.  I've purchased so many things and recieved a lot of FREE stuff. I want to share some of the new products with you.

The Love Blossoms suite on pages 16 & 17 is perfect for Valentines' Day.  I love the soft color palate of pinks, it feels very vintage to me.  The Designers Series papers are gorgeous and the embellishment pack adds to the vintage feel.

The Going Places Suite on pages 38 & 39 has a masculine feel to it.  It would be great for Father's Day and masculine Birthday cards.

Of course who doesn't have Birthdays to celebrate all year long. With the It's My Party suite on pages 4 & 5 I'll be able to make one of a kind cards for everyone on my Birthday list.  The Designers Series Paper Stack will keep me well stocked with the right paper.  There are 12 double-sided deigns to choose from;

So this is my challenge.  Ive decided to make a project using everything I've gotten from the Ocassions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.  The stamp sets, the ribbon, the paper, the die cuts or thinlits, the punches and embellishments,

Since Valentines Day is just around the corner I thought I would start with the Love Blossoms suite.  Here is my first card.

I kept this simple, paper, a punch and stamps.  I used the following items from the Love Blossoms suite

145549 Love Blossoms Cardstock Pack
I used Crumb Cake for my A2 card base

140548 Love Blossoms Designers Series 6 x 6 Paper Stack
My first layer is cut 5 1/4" x 4" using a Crumb Cake patterned paper.
I used six different designs in Blushing Bride to punch out hearts using the
133786 Sweet Heart Punch

140643 Bloomin' Love Stamp Set
I stamped the banner and BE MINE using Crumb Cake ink pad 126975.  For dimension I added the hearts and the banner with Stampin dimensionals 104430.

140551 Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit
For some bling I used the enamel glitter dots and clear Wink Of Stella 141897 offered for the first time in the Ocassions catalog.  We also have it in gold 141898.

You can easily CASE this card purchasing these items and quess what?  Yep you will have enough to select a FREE item from the Sale-A- Bration catalog.
