Hi Everyone! It's late and I'am working on some wedding favors for my brothers wedding in June. I think they turned out cute and I wanted to share them with you. Also I think they fit the criteria for this weeks challenge at Emma's blog.
My Creative Time.
I made the embellishments using two Cricut cartridges Storybook and Create a Critter. All the card stock I used is coredinations from Joann's Beachside.
The first cut is the scalloped oval on page 47 of the Storybook cartridge. I used the shifted Accent Blackout at 2". I used Blue Lagoon chalk cat's eye by Colorbox to ink the edges and stamp the background. The background stamp is a floral design from Inadinkadoo. I thought it looked like seaweed. For a little detail I did some pen work with my white gel pen.
The cute little seahorse and I mean little literally is only 1 1/2". Very tedious paper piecing. The seahorse is from Create a Critter cartridge page 42. I cut the main shifted image and the three layers.
My future sister-in-law provided the boxes and ribbon. The pink and blue ribbon are Offray from Walmart.
Now back to work I have 69 more to go.
Hope you like my altered object as much as I do. The main thing is it meets my sister-in-laws approval.
Bye Bye and happy blogging.

SWEET DREAMS DOOR HANGER/TAG
Today I was making a gift tag for a baby shower gift and thought it would be cute to make it so it could be used as a door hanger. I was inspired by the blue ribbon I found at Tuesday Morning. They just opened one in the same strip mall as my local Joann store. I read on someones blog that they sold discounted scrapbooking supplies so I thought I'd have a look see. Sure enough to my delight oddlies of goodies. I bought alot of stuff (a bag of buttons, 5 spools of blue ribbon and a pack of assorted brads) and only spent $7.00.
I made the tag using Cricut cartridge George and Basic Shapes page 102. I cut the tag from white card stock at 5 1/2".
The blue card stock I used was from Coordinations "Beachside". I cut a piece 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" and used the cuttlebug to emboss with Swiss Dots folder. I then used my Fiskars corner punch for the corner detail.

Picutre for Layout SPS
I was kindly informed my pictures are not opening in my post for the layout challenge.
I did have trouble uploading those pictures so I'm not surprised. I will attempt to put them in this post from my phone.

Baby shower
Here is the card I made for my nieces baby shower. She is having a girl and she is due in June.
The base of the card is white card stock cut @ A2 size. The next layer is a light shade of purple. I chose purple because it's my nieces favorite color. The next layer was cut from cricut cartridge Storybook, page 67. I used purple polka dot paper from DCWV Nursery stack. I cut marquee4 at 5". I stitched around the shape with a purple marker.
The second cartridge I used was Cricut Sampler for the baby on page 29. I used three cuts, the baby, the diaper and the baby shadow. I used scraps of white, pink and green cardstock and pieced it together. Oh I almost forgot I cut out the baby at 2 1/2".
I used Peachy Keen everyday character faces PK-940 and stamped using Rouge Colorbox chalk. I used a white gel pen on the eyes.
The sentiment flag was cut freehand and the lettering was done freehand with a purple marker.
For the finishing touches I used a purple ribbon from Offray and crystal Stickles for a bit of sparkle on the diaper.
The baby on shower was Saturday and my niece really liked the card.
That's it hope you liked it too. Thanks for blogging with me today.
Bye bye for now

SPS Challenge #1
I had time to enter one more challenge. Make a card using the color blue, something round with at least 3 layers or 3 different papers.
Here is my card. I used blue cardstock for the base cut at A2 size. My second paper is DCWV from Nursery Boy. I love this paper. I rounded the corners with my trusty EK Success corner rounder. The third paper is DCWV textured mat stack Brights cut 1"x5"in a strip. I applied the ribbon using MPS cheater method. The ribbon is from Paper Studio. The final touch is the chipboard embellishment from K and Company. I used pop dots to lift it off the page for added dimension.
That's all folks. Bye Bye. Until next time.
Pumpkin Spice Layout Challenge
Here is my layout submission for Challenge #2. This is a trip to Disney World with my two sons. We didn't get to go until they were almost grown but we still enjoyed it . It truly is a place for all ages. This picture is from a ride on Splash Mountain.
I used two Cricut cartridges for this layout. 1) George and Basic Shapes and 2) Cricut Sampler.
From the George and Basic Shapes I cut the letters for Splash using the sign feature @ 1". I removed the sign handle and used the reverse of the letter cuts for my title. Mountain was spelled using small adhesive letters from Colorbox. I also cut the rectangle tag with the slotted tag feature and the small journaling square from the George and Basic shapes cartridge. I used red ribbon with white polka dots from Olffray. The Pluto sticker was from my stash of Disney stuff but I don't remember who its by.
From the Cricut Sampler cartridge I cut the wave pattern on page 36, 4 times out of red card stock and attached it end to end for a wave effect. The small white frame with arrow was cut from page 38 and I used it to locate my son in this busy picture. Below is a detail of this.
I had fun doing this layout and I think it meets all the challenge requirements. I wish I had more time to make another project for the challenges but unfortunately life has dictated that I must work for a living and since I am on call this weekend I did't have the time to craft like I wanted. Such is life.
Thanks for viewing my blog and if you feel moved please comment. I like to get feedback. Bye Bye and happy blogging.
