I used the large 1 3/8" face for my apple which I cut from red card stock using my Doodlecharms cartridge. The apple is on page 118 and I cut it at 3". To bling up the apple I used Stickles for accents on the leaf (Eucalyptus green) and highlights (Crystal). I used a white Gel Pen to color the whites of his eyes. I used a black Gel pen to faux stitch around the apple and around the card. For dimension I adhered the apple with pop dots.
The card is cut 4x4 out of Martha Stewart 8x8 stack using a light green paper. The second layer was a shade lighter from the same stack. I used my Storybook cartridge to cut the scalloped edges from page 30 cut at 3 1/3". I ran it through my Cuttlebug to emboss the dots. It's hard to really see the effect in the picture.
My embellishment is green DMC #730 embroidery floss threaded through a red button from my stash and tied in a bow. I used a small glue dot to secure it.
My sentiment is hand written using a green gel pen. I also faux stitched the sentiment so it would stand out. As you can see my next purchases should be some of the cool stamps that are available. I do have some of Emma's at My Creative Time but the sentiments didn't seem right for this card.
Hope you enjoyed this card. I think it turned out cute and it was quick, too. Keep blogging with me and thanks for your comments.
Bye Bye Until later,
Kim
